Camp Explorers
Camp Explorers 1 is for children entering grades 1 and 2.
Camp Explorers 2 is for children entering grades 3 and 4.
We don't have to leave Brooklyn to have an outdoor country experience. Prospect park is just one block away!
Camp Explorers enjoy a wide range of activities daily. A never ending supply of fun and new friends. No two days of the week are the same.
We go to different parks, a pool, Manhattan beach, cultural, amusement, and nature centers. Each week campers enjoy sports and field games of all kinds, swimming at the pool and beach, arts and crafts, hands-on nature studies, singing, karate, dancing, playgrounds, hiking, drama, games, gymnastics with the Brooklyn Gymnastic Center, a different trip in and around the New York City area, and special events such as carnival, dancing disco, Camp Olympics, and our camp shows.
Camp Explorers 1 have trips closer to home some like the Brooklyn Zoo are right in Prospect Park. We try to keep bus trips for this age shorter with more time to be outdoors so they may choose an art project a sports game, or nature exploration.
Camp Explorers 2 have more choices of activities, such as chess, tennis, handball, and basketball with trips that are more challenging and a farther bus ride away.
Parents will receive a summer calendar of events so they map keep track of our busy schedule.
