Lots of trips, special events, state parks, overnights!

Exploring Beyond goes past the boundaries of the Tri-State area.  We enjoy different State Parks in NY and NJ for swimming, tubing, hiking, or wave jumping. In Brooklyn there’s the Red Hook Pool, Brooklyn Gymnastics Center, Prospect Park for nature, field games, quiet games, science, and team sports. There is Dyker Park for tennis, soccer, basketball, and handball. At our site we do lots of arts and crafts, drama, chess, music, and indoor games. Each week there is a different trip to an amusement center, waterpark, Zoo, museum etc.. No two weeks or days are alike. Add on Special events and overnight adventures for non-stop fun.

Extended Day     8:00-8:30    No additional charge

                             4:00-6:30    $20/day for one child  

                                                $15/day each additional sibling.

Daily: $105.00 per day. Camper must be enrolled for a minimum of two full weeks before being eligible for additional daily enrollment. There may be additional trip fees.

After 6:30 PM, there is a $10.00 fee per child payable directly to the counselor who stays behind. In no event will a camper be permitted to remain on premises past 7 PM. Call 917-805-7895 if after 7 PM

Note*: The 1st week of camp starts Thursday June 28th -- Friday July 6th.

There is an additional charge of $95.00 for this week due to the 6 day week. Camp is closed Wednesday July 4th.

No child will be permitted to start camp without an updated medical form.

Bus forms are due on May 15 to be considered for our route.  

All Camp forms are due by June 15th.

We were told by our teens that a good camp lets them have a say in their activities depending on their mood of the day.  Park Explorers listens, and gives choices within each daily schedule. Whether it is showing off their talent in our camp shows, learning about new places and activities or just making new friends this program year after year has been a hit with our pre-teens and teens.

Fifth through 9th graders are welcome to join our special programs if their schedules allow.

15 and 16 year olds may apply for our Counselor in Training Program. This volunteer program is a great way to learn self-discipline and share talents with the younger campers. CIT's will receive a letter of community service for their time. A stipend is paid to those who work six weeks or more. To be eligible you must fill out the job application and be interviewed.
