Exploring Theater
Session I: July 9th - July 27th, 2012
Session II: July 30th - August 17th, 2012
Explore the art of creating and telling a story while
developing it into an original, one of a kind written play. Campers develop discipline and self confidence as they work together with a team of their peers to explore the
many fun and creative aspects of creating, writing, performing and producing a show. On the last Friday of each session, the play will be performed in front of the camp, camp parents and relatives.
Warm up our voices with vocal and diction exercises; learn about staging and acting; find how we use our bodies to express an idea without sound, learn songs, dances, with
costumes and scenery, for a three week, non stop, exploration of the art of theater. For healthy summer sunshine we take our scripts to rehearse under the trees of Prospect Park. Add on water fights to cool off, trips to the pool and beach, so that our stars have a healthy summer with plenty of sunshine. The last week is reserved for extra rehearsals with a pizza party before the show.
REGISTER EARLY SPOTS ARE LIMITED.
Show time is on the last Friday of each session at 2:45 PM. All parents, friends and relatives are invited.
