Job Description
To Work with groups of children in a manner that promotes safe behavior, safety while traveling on bus, while walking from place to place, at activities and trips, and improves the quality of the children's interaction with one another.
All staff are to participate in all activities with their groups, making camp fun for their campers, teaching skills, providing encouragement and support while serving as a role model.
We expect all staff to demonstrate a high standard in personal conduct at all times.

All staff must be attentive and follow all procedures and routines as per instructed. This includes set up and clean up of all activities and equipment.

Attendance and punctuality throughout the camp season are mandatory.

Park Explorers hold the right to let go of any employee at anytime if the camp deems necessary.
Head Counselors
Head Counselors must supervise and guide junior staff in their assigned to group. They are held responsible for behavior and action of the campers and staff within their group. They are to make sure campers are safe, supervised and entertained at all times. The head counselor is responsible for keeping accurate attendance of campers daily.
Counselors
Counselors are responsible for behavior and action of the campers in their group. They are to make sure campers are safe, supervised, and entertained at all time.
CIT's
CIT are to assist Counselors in keeping campers safe, supervised, and entertained at all times.
Returning Staff:
No jobs, or CIT positions are guaranteed.
Your applications are reviewed each year.
You are considered a returning staff member if you are a full counselor and have worked the previous summer for six or more weeks. To be considered for a job your returning staff application must be in by the of April 15th.
If you did not work for a full six weeks, the previous summer and are interested in a job you must apply with the full application form and wait to be called in for an interview.
